Today we come to you with a special couple – Rohin and Abhi. Rohin and I (Tanya) met many moons ago through the Karnatik Arts and probably at some concert, though I cannot recall which one. Rohin and Abhi met a few years back when he was visiting Australia and this past December they got married in Chennai! They wanted to have a casual shoot with nice backgrounds so we headed over to the Guildwood and Humber Bay Bridge for their photos.
Rohin and Abhi are your definition of a supercouple (can’t decide if their celebrity name would be Rohini or Abhin). They are clearly gorgeous, brilliant (they are both biomedical engineers – Rohin recently finished his PhD!), talented (both amazing Karnatik vocalists – amongst other musical talents), and fitness experts while working towards humanitarian efforts (I can’t remember how many times I’ve seen Rohin putting up his pledge links for bike-a-thons for various charities and they both recently did the CN Tower Climb for the WWF!). They’re the kind of couple you’d love to hate because they’re so perfect, but you just can’t because not only are they awesome in every way you could see them without knowing them, but they are genuinely good, down-to-earth people. Our shoot really just zoomed by and it is because of their light-hearted and hilarious nature. Their patience with the winds and the cold when we were on that bridge is not forgotten – when many (rightfully) would be cranky or just want to quit, they stayed there without fuss and Abhi did not bat any of her beautiful long lashes as long as Rohin kept her warm (remember, Rohin: warm wife = happy wife = happy life!) – and warm she was (well, sorta… as warm as someone could be at that time lol). Abhi wanted a very casual and natural look for the shoot and Nizani from Crown Beauty did just that with soft pink eye shadows and neutral tones. Stunning job! Hope you guys enjoy some of our faves.
See ya soon,
Annuj & Tanya
P.S. Rohin, now both you AND Abhi owe me a Kaapi/coffee (though I’d much prefer the kaapi…) maybe some Kaapi over coffee? 🙂
Today we’re here with a very special treat. Mathan & Nirossa had their civil ceremony this month and we cannot say enough about how cute they are together. Throughout the ceremony, Mathan was constantly joking with and whispering sweet nothings into Nirossa’s ear; his speech was so thoughtful and heartfelt. Nirossa and her family are from Germany and she is moving to Toronto after their fall wedding so it was a very emotional day for everyone. But despite their long distance relationship, she and Mathan are so unbelievably comfortable with each other – their love radiates through the photos.
What a special day filled with smiles, tears and so much love. We are so honoured to have been a small part of a wonderful day. Really looking to their engagement shoot in the summer and their wedding this fall.
We’re back today with the Hindu wedding ceremony of Sribavan and Janatha. They had a traditional Sri Lankan Hindu ceremony in a hall that is directly attached to the Canada Kanthaswamy Temple. Janatha looked beautiful in rusty shades of gold and after defying the outfit altogether, Sribavan succumbed to the traditional vetti & salvai. A lovely ceremony with a lovely couple! Hope you enjoy some shots of their day!
Today we’re so excited to bring you photos from Alice & Stephen’s wedding! They had a beautiful Catholic wedding followed by a stunning reception at the Arta Gallery in the Distillery District in Toronto.
Stephen’s house was filled with Hindi music and laughter when we came through the door. He has such a lively and happy family; you could definitely feel the love in the house. Alice was an absolutely stunning bride. Her dress was fabulous and her hair and make up was on point! She got ready at her brother’s condo. Now her brother has a dog, which sheds a little bit and as you can see from one of the photos below, Alice has some dedicated bridesmaids at her side, attacking her dress with lint removing sheets to make sure all of the fur was off her dress before her big walk down the aisle!
Their ceremony went off without a hitch and we moved on to their bridal party shoot at the very cool Evergreen Brickworks! From there, we went to the Arta Gallery in the Distillery District. Their location was filled with elegant touches of white flowers and feathers – it was beautiful! The night was fully catered by “The Food Dudes” and we must say, the food was absolutely delicious! They need to open up a restaurant because we cannot wait for another wedding to be catered by them again! After Alice & Stephen’s first dance, the cutting of the cake, and the daddy-daughter dance were some extremely heartfelt speeches. Here are a few of our favourites from their big day.
Overall a wonderful night with a great couple. Stephen & Alice, we wish you nothing but the best!
Today we come to you with another engagement shoot for Vasi & Chandra! They wanted something more fashion-inspired for their second shoot so we headed over to the VERY swanky One King West for their shoot. We started off with a south Asian fashion look at the grand staircase and as you can see Chandra was rocking her saree. That’s one thing we’ve got to really give to her – her style. For all four of their shoots, she styled and accessorized both her and Vasi perfectly! Her saree with those earrings (with the troublesome backings! LOL!) and bangles were spot on. Pairing that outfit with the soft make up, champagne lips and soft curls was Nizani, the creative talent behind Crown Beauty – who did a fabulous job with Chandra’s look! Their second look was a more GQ inspired fashion look. Chandra was stunning in her floor length strapless blush gown and hints of gold. Vasi was very sleek and not-to-mention handsome with his black on black on black. And how could we have a fashion shoot without designer label? Check out his kicks! Vasi is definitely styling in his Louis Vuitton. Overall a super stylish couple resulted in a very fashion forward and romantic shoot!
Very excited for their big day which is less than two weeks away!
