Manos & Vino – Fall Engagement Shoot – Toronto, Canada

Hello there!

Fall! Trees filled with leaves, the beautiful colours, and a briskness in the air! But aside from that, there is so much more that remind us of fall – hay rides, cornfields, and pumpkins! Vino and Manos wanted to take the path less taken for their fall shoot so we headed to a VERY crowded Whittamore Farms a few weeks before Halloween. Scattered everywhere were teens looking to get lost in cornfields and family days with tots testing out their halloween costumes. We surprisingly found ways to make their shoot feel so personal, secluded and as if they were the only ones there (seriously, it was packed). Manos and Vino are GREAT in front of the camera. They are always fun and happy and they definitely know how to strike a pose. Enjoy!

Sandeep & Navneet – Brampton Engagement Shoot

Hey folks!

We’re here today with a very personalized shoot. Navneet and Sandeep met at their school bus stop back when they were 12. They lived on the same street, where they still live today! So wanting to show off their history – we went to their neighbourhood to capture their story, which goes a little something like this…

Once upon a time, there lived a boy named Sandeep.  Sandeep had just moved to the beautiful land of B-town. He was starting at a new school and that morning, he got dressed and headed over to the school bus stop. On his way there, he saw the most beautiful maiden in the land, Navneet, waiting at the stop. He knew that he had to talk to her, but didn’t know how to start a conversation. All of the excuses raced through his mind but he kept it simple. After a few moments of silence at the stop, he spoke. “Is that our bus?”, pointing at the bus as he inquired. A quick smile and nod from Navneet meant that he knew he got her. And got her he did. They fell in love and lived happily ever after!

Of course with a story like that we had to head over and shoot at their neighbourhood. After a few shots at their street sign we headed over to their local park for some fun. They brought water guns, bubbles and all of their best friends – they are surrounded by awesome people! Sandeep was always up for some danger; from climbing to scaling to jumping off of the swing, he was good to go! Check our Instagram feed to get some awesome behind the scenes footage of this shoot! @impressionsbyannuj

Navneet got a Vespa for the shoot and we did some high fashion shots by the water. We ended off the night with a romantic McDonalds dinner on the shore.

Looking forward to their second, themed engagement shoot coming up in the new year!

Now not only are they a great looking pair – but they are talented too!  Sandeep is one of two faces behind Everlasting Decor who provide couples with beautiful custom art for their events!  A few samples below but make sure to head over to their blog to see more of their work if you want something a little different for your special day!

Shiraine & Raymond – Toronto Engagement Shoot

Hey all!
We’re here today with Shiraine and Raymond’s engagement shoot!  Starting off at Edwards Gardens, it was evident that love was in the air!  They frolicked through the forest, kissed atop of a waterfall, and read to each other!  (Side note: Forgetting to bring her own novel, Shiraine borrowed my current book at the time for these shots – “A Dog’s Purpose” is a must read!)
After the park we headed over to the Bluffs for some waterfront shots. We lucked out in that while we were shooting at the docks, a boat owner saw us and asked if we wanted to take a few shots at his boat. Yes, please! Hope you enjoy some shots from their engagement shoot!
Can’t wait to post their wedding photos!  If you enjoyed these photos make sure to check back into our Facebook Fan Page for more!  “LIKE” our page to stay updated with our work!

Amutha & Colin – Alice in Wonderland Themed Engagement Shoot

Hey WordPress World!
Today we’re here with a creative treat! Amutha and Colin are a fun and unique couple who wanted a themed shoot that involved colour, props and a lot of dress up. What better theme than Alice in Wonderland?! I created their look book with what I thought was a wish list because it was so exhaustive – but to my delightful surprise, Amutha and Colin managed to grab literally every item on my list!  They shared that both of their families were hoarders and with a quick trip to the dollar store (something I ALWAYS recommend as a first resort – you’d be surprised what you can find there!), they were set!
Since the Alice in Wonderland theme has been done before, I thought we could add a cultural twist and suggested to Amutha that she wear a saree or an anarkalli (keeping in mind that it would have to be, of course, the Alice baby blue) – she brought both! She was beautified by Nizani of Crown Beauty, who did a PERFECT job with Amutha’s look. Pairing blue smokey eyes with baby pink lips was the perfect cute-yet-alluring look I was looking for. You can check out more of this talented, young artist on her Facebook Fan Page here!
With the help of some great friends and family, we were able to set up their stage on one of the hottest days of the year. Their table was littered with antique clocks, flowers, tea sets (including the teacup and saucer of Amutha’s late grandmother – so touching!), hardcover books, and so much more!  They also found a pocket watch (actually two!) for the shoot which paired beautifully with our very own white rabbit!  Special thanks to Nizani for allowing us to use Thumper (as we had dubbed him) for the shoot – he was on his absolute best behavior for the full duration. 🙂
From high tea to croquet with flamingos to cards and roses and so much more wackiness, Amutha and Colin proved to be a fun and free couple. We hope you enjoy some of our favourites.

Mahdi & Janice – High Park Engagement Shoot

Hey guys,
Today we’ve got Mahdi and Janice. We met Mahdi a few years ago through my (Tanya’s) brother and he’s such a great guy! How appropriate that he found himself a great girl!  We started off their engagement shoot at High Park and worked our way to a Pickering beach.  Some swans, a stalled car, and some pizza later, we’ve ended up with some very sweet shots.

Niroj & Abi – Toronto Engagement Shoot

Hey WordPress,

Abi and Niroj are no strangers to you guys based on your response to their football themed shoot. Today they’re back with one of our classic shoots. Abi wanted to get a beautiful venue with a lot of different rooms and old furniture – very Victorian style.  I scavenged online and found the stunning Graydon Manor for them. Abi booked a permit and we were set!

For their second location we headed over to Haute Couture central in Toronto – Yorkville. While going through here Abiand Niroj constantly had an audience – people complimenting how beautiful a couple they are and how gorgeous Abi’s dress was – many even stopped to take photos of them as we were shooting [a word of advice to the general public: before lifting your camera/smart device / tablet to take a photo of a couple you don’t know (why you would want this is another conversation on its own), have the courtesy to ask them first.]

Contrasting to their fun filled football themed shoot, Abi wanted this to be more classy and fashion inspired. We feel their photos here are timeless, romantic, and full of style and emotion. Enjoy.
